SOUTH BEND — Ilwaco broke open an 18-11 game with a 24-0 run to beat South Bend 73-26 Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Ilwaco led 12-2 through five minutes, then went through an offensive dry spell until the mid-second quarter as South Bend chipped away.
Sunny Kemmer scored on a high-low post pass from Erika Glenn to boost the lead to 20-11, starting Ilwaco’s long scoring spurt. Glenn followed with seven straight points, including a one-on-two fast break and a three-pointer off a baseline-out-of-bounds give-and-go. Jaymie Kemmer’s three-pointer made it 34-11 at half-time.
Sunny Kemmer scored eight points in the first four minutes of the second half, including the basket that capped the Fishermen’s 24-0 run.
