ILWACO — Last year’s state girls’ soccer runner-up was too much for Ilwaco Saturday.

The Kalama Chinooks, who lost 2B State finals to St. George’s and had 16 shutouts in 20 games last year, kept the Fishermen off the scoreboard in a 5-0 victory. The Chinooks improved to 2-0, while Ilwaco fell to 1-3.

Ilwaco will host Toledo Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6:00 p.m., visit Winlock Saturday at noon, and visit Adna next Monday at 6 p.m.
