ASTORIA — On Feb. 14, 2019, Xochitl Yanez married Jordan Baker at the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Astoria, with the beautiful Columbia River as a backdrop.

Xochitl is the daughter of Adan and Maria Yanez of Tieton, Wash., and is a 2016 graduate of Highland High School. She is employed at Subway in Long Beach and is attending Grays Harbor College, majoring in business. She plans to become a cosmetologist.

Jordan is a 2013 graduate of Ilwaco High School. The groom is employed by Hampton Inn and Suites in Astoria. He graduated from Washington State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. Jordan is the son of Brian Baker, a local house painter.

Jordan and Xochitl plan to visit Las Vegas this summer for their honeymoon.
