A 1986 Chevy pick-up truck caught fire around 12:20 p.m. Monday. Firefighters hosed off the pick-up truck engine which caught fire after stalling at the corner of Sandridge Road and U.S. Highway 101.

SEAVIEW — A Chevy pickup’s driver escaped injury at about 12:20 p.m. Monday when his vehicle stalled and then caught fire at the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Sandridge Road in Seaview.

Firefighters responded to the scene, gained access to the engine compartment and extinguished the smoky blaze by about 12:45 p.m.
