Noxious Weed Control Board (PCNWCB),

PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Pacific County Noxious Weed Control Board (PCNWCB), in accordance with RCW 17.10.020, to fill two vacant positions on the Board. Pacific County is divided into five weed districts, and the PCNWCB is comprised of one representative from each district, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The PCNWCB is responsible for designing and enforcing noxious weed regulations throughout Pacific County. Applications are currently being accepted for districts 1 and 2. Washington State Law (RCW 17.10) requires that at least four board members are engaged in the primary production of agricultural products. Therefore, preference will be given to applicants meeting this criteria. Applicants must possess extensive knowledge of local weed species and control methods, and must reside in the district for which they are applying. Interested parties should submit an application by mail or email (all attachments must be in .PDF format), to the PCNWCB coordinator JeffNesbitt (P.O. The applicant must provide a cover letter which includes a statement of interest in the position, assurance that all requirements are met, and a description of relevant qualifications. In addition to the cover letter, the applicant must provide the signatures of at least ten registered voters from within his or her district supporting the nomination to the county noxious weed control board. Nominations will not be accepted after January 16th 2017. Final appointments will be made by the Board of County Commissioners.
