Amanda Green honored by American Legion

ILWACO — Amanda Green, BM2, was recently nominated for an award as the Active Duty Service Woman from the U.S. Coast Guard by the local American Legion Auxiliary Don R. Grable Unit #48.
As part of the selection process, Green wrote an essay entitled: “Why I Support Women’s Role in Today’s Armed Forces.”
If selected by the state auxiliary organization, she will be recognized at the state convention in July, and if selected by the national organization, she will be honored at the national convention in August in Cincinnati, Ohio.
