VANCOUVER — Clyde Jasper Herndon died on Nov. 25, 2015. He was born June 2, 1923, in Lebanon, Kansas. He and Caroline, the love of this life, were married for 71 years.

They moved to Seaview in 1986 where they commercial fished and then chartered out of Pacific Salmon Charters with their boat, “Jolly Scott.”

Clyde was a member of First Christian Church in Astoria. They moved back to Vancouver in 2014. His hobbies included woodworking, playing cards and eating ice cream. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, and three children.

A celebration of life will be held Dec. 11 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. Memorials can be made to SW Washington Hospice.
