Robert Edward “Bob” Stritof

KLIPSAN Robert Edward Bob Stritof, 73, died Oct. 27, 2013, at his Klipsan Beach residence with family at his side. The son of Edward and Ruth Stritof, he was born in Joliet, Illinois on July 24, 1940. During his youth his family moved to Venice, Calif., and then to Las Vegas, Nev. with the beginning of his high school years. Bob was a graduate of Rancho High School in Las Vegas.

Bob built a home in Las Vegas with a friend and soon thereafter met Sheri Goeser whom he married Nov. 2, 1963. After living in Las Vegas for 30 years he resided in Odessa, Texas for three years, Mount Vernon for 10 years and then in 2000 moved to Klipsan Beach.

Bob worked as a printing pressman prior to becoming a real estate broker. He was also director of religious education, youth minister and owner of PhoneVault.com. He authored the Everything Great Marriage book and was a writer at marriage.about.com since 1997.

A member of St. Marys Parish in Seaview, Bob also participated in Worldwide Marriage Encounter, Catholic Engaged Encounter and 4-H. A life-long tinkerer, he loved classic romantic comedy movies, road trips with Sheri, growing plants from cuttings and seeds, and genealogy.

Besides his wife of 50 years he is survived by sons, Ted Stritof (Nola) of West Seattle, Ken Stritof (Cher) of Honolulu and Larry Stritof of Boston, Mass.; daughter, Judy Stritof of Honolulu; his sisters, Donna Lundberg of DeMotte, Ind. and Diane Ibrahim of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren, Lilah Stritof, Alexa Stritof, Titus Stritof and Peyton Stritof; nieces, Barbara DiFronzo Romero and Jenna Engle; nephews, Steven Lundberg, Jason Lundberg and Michael Lundberg. He was preceded in death by three children and one brother as well as by his parents.
