Death Notice: Douglas Bonneprise

VANCOUVER Douglas John Bonneprise, age 64, died July 16 in Vancouver. He was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Ilwaco. After attending Ilwaco High School and Clark College, he joined the army and was sent to Vietnam, where he was injured. He later was awarded the Purple Heart. Douglas lived in Vancouver where he was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. Survivors include his three sons: Tim, Jeff and Sean, all of Olympia; two granddaughters; and a sister, Loretta Cook of Long Beach. His parents and a sister, Susan Long, preceded him in death. A mass will be held in Vancouver on July 31, and he will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
