Thank you to everyone who was involved in making the fifth annual Empty Bowls Project 2013 a success. Almost $6,000 was raised for three important organizations in Pacific County that help feed the hungry: FISH Emergency Services, His Supper Table and Community Table.
Soup and bread was all donated by local businesses and bakers including: The Cove, The Shelbourne, The Lost Roo, Full Circle Café, Chens, The Cottage Bakery, Baileys Coffeehouse, John Vale, Kate Bannister, Susan Carney, Andrea Patten and Larry Amundson.
Clay and supplies were donated by Sue Raymond, Danni Pederson, Linda Marsh and Jan Richardson.
Special project funding came from Peninsula Arts Association and Peninsula Performing Arts Center.
Bowlmakers included teachers and staff at Long Beach Elementary School, Ocean Park Elementary School, Naselle Youth Camp, artists from Peninsula Arts Association and artists of the Peninsula Clay Artists. Thank you to the Ocean Beach Presbyterian Womens Association for hosting this event at Peninsula Church Center and Kate Bannister for organizing the soups and breads. This event continues to flourish due to the students, parents and community volunteers who give of their time and talent and make this day enriched with life and happiness. Hope you see you next year. Thank you.

The family of Allen Johnson thanks the many folks who have supported us with prayers, food, flowers, cards and memorials after his unexpected death. Thank you to Pastor Nels Flesher for being with us and for the moving service. We appreciate the care of Pastor David Barnet and the Women of the Chinook Lutheran Church who provided a lovely reception and a time to share memories. Leanne and Daniel Sass did a beautiful job of providing music for us. Thank you for all the kind words and actions.
