Have you ever met anyone famous?
Trending
Yes. I was traveling with a singing/dancing tour team and I met Dudley Moore. I was in FAO Schwarz in New York City, and we were dinking around, and I saw him and thought Oh my goodness! He was really short. I went up and said hello. Adorable little guy; he had a British accent. I also performed for President Reagan and Chancellor Kohl.
What do you get complimented on most?
Trending
Oh my, probably my neat, well-rounded kids.
If you could bring something extinct back to life, what would it be?
Though I really wouldnt want to live back in the time frame, but I would like a much simpler lifestyle.
What does love feel like?
It feels like happy. Those wonderful butterflies. It just makes everything OK.
When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be
A nurse. In fact I was enrolled to go to WSUs nursing school, but then I went to community college because I went on tour.
What makes you unhappy?
The immature games people play.
Who is your hero?
It could change; Ive got so many. Today, itd probably be my Grandpa Bowman.
What is your greatest fear?
That would have to be water or losing my family in water. Isnt that awful? We drive by it every day, and we drive over the Astoria Bridge at least once a week, and its my greatest phobia.
The most impactful moment in my life was
When my little girl was hit by a car. Our 21-year-old was hit by a car when she was 3 ½. Shes fine now. It was in 1994. I went running across Highway 4 to talk to our now sheriff, Scott Johnson whose wife at the time was in the hospital and I wanted to see if she was OK or if there was anything I could do and Shelby followed me. Thank God he was there, and thank God it was a little car and not a log truck.
What is something youre not very good at but love to do anyway?
It depends on who you ask! Cooking. Im not good at it, I dont do it very often, but I like to do it.
Do you have any nicknames?
Really? Do I have to put it in the paper? Misty May. My father called me Misty May.
What is your best piece of advice?
Live each day to the fullest. Just wake up and go for it. Too many people now are on Prozac and think they have it bad, and they need to look around and realize that they have it a lot better than others do. Just get up and go for it, because youll never get the time back again.
