The Breakfast Bunch and Coastal Community Action Programs would like to thank everyone who made Shoeboxes of Joy an outstanding success. Special thanks to the Loren H. Corder Foundation, the Beach Barons and Sandys Gun Shop for their significant cash donations to the project. The response from our local businesses, individuals and volunteers provided over 600 shoeboxes wrapped, filled with gifts and delivered to our senior citizens in need of good cheer during the holiday season. We would especially like to thank the following businesses that provided a collection point for the donated items and/or contributed many gifts and money themselves: Lighthouse Realty Ocean Par, KeyBank, Great NW Federal Credit Union, Bank of the Pacific, Raymond Federal Credit Union, Peninsula Golf Course, Surfside Golf Course, Long Beach Pharmacy, Ilwaco Pharmacy, Ocean Beach Hospital, Pioneer Market, Golden Sands, Peninsula Senior Center, Ocean Park Lutheran Church, Adelaides Books and Café, Oman and Son, Ilwaco Dry Cleaners, New Life Church, CCAP, Full Circle Café, Beach Batteries, Costco, Oysterville Post Office, Ilwaco Post Office, Green Angel Gardens, Organically Grown, and the Long Beach Elks.

    Grannies Christmas Jammies was a wonderful success yet again due to all who were able to participate. I realize everyone has a choice in what community outreach project they participate in and Grannies Jammies project is one of many. Lots of children were able to have that warm cozy feeling that new jammies give thanks to the generosity of those who were able to donate. You are all truly blessed. A warm hug of thanks goes to: Baileys Bakery, Coastal Eye Care, Discovery Coasat Real Estate, Dr. Roof, Eagles, Peninsula Pharmacies, Jimellas Seafood Market, Oceanside Animal Clinic, Raymond Bank, ReMax Realty, Rotary, Okies Thriftway, Sids Market, Tynkila Dentist, Full Circle Restaurant and numerous individuals as well.
