Police Department

    On Nov. 14 at 9:11 a.m., a 14-year-old male from Ocean Park was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly caused multiple disturbances at the school, destroyed furniture and used profanities.

    On Nov. 15 at 10:15 a.m., a burglary to a home on Washington Street in Long Beach was reported with numerous items taken and the home ransacked.

    At 6 p.m., a woman reported her purse had been stolen while she was at the laundromat. The purse was found inside a washing machine and the woman alleged everything was intact except that $200 in cash was missing. The business owner will check the videotape and get back to an officer.

    On Nov. 17 at 8:14 p.m. an assault was reported in apartments in Long Beach. A man allegedly kicked in a door and there was a scuffle between the apartment tenant and the man, who finally left.

    At 8:57 p.m., on 6th Street in Long Beach, a man reported being harassed by an unknown male who said he was a tweaker. An officer advised the man to call police if he has another encounter and not try to handle things himself.

     On Nov. 18 at 11:07 a.m., two 16-year-old males were fighting. Neither wanted to press charges and both were suspended from school.

    On Nov. 16, deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Long Beach area. Upon arrival deputies spoke with witnesses, the alleged victim and the alleged suspect. Following their investigation deputies arrested 29-year-old Jeremy D. Chapman, who listed a Long Beach address. Chapman was transported to the Pacific County Jail and booked on four counts of possession of child pornography and one count of communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

    On Nov. 19, deputies responded to the Chinook area on a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival they made contact with the victim, her husband and the alleged suspect. The parties were interviewed. Deputies determined from the interviews and observations of those involved that a crime had occurred. Deputies arrested Katrina Vitroczy, age 30, for domestic violence fourth-degree assault. Vitroczy was transported to the Pacific County Jail and booked.
