VANCOUVER Barbara A. Cole, 90, of Ilwaco passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in Vancouver. The daughter of Mabel and William B. Preston, she was born Sept. 14, 1920 in Logan, Utah.

    During her life on the Peninsula she was active in Eastern Star, Ladies of the Elks and various volunteer work.

    Survivors include her husband, Howard, of Ilwaco; a brother, Richard Preston of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sons, David Cole of Ilwaco and Robert Cole of Auburn; a daughter, Connie von Behren of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    A private family service has been held.
