ILWACO – Congratulations to each of the Ilwaco Middle-High School Students of the Month for September. They are: Janie Bean, a junior and the daughter of Laura and Travis Bean; seventh grader, Grace Bruncke is the daughter of Michelle Lee and David Bruncke; Elleigh Kaino, the daughter of Kris and Jaymi Kaino, is a junior; freshman Rosie Lee is the daughter of Rickey and Kathleen Lee; Emily MacDonald, a sophomore, is the daughter of Lynn Stover; and eighth grader Evan Sutherland is the son of Tom and Garnett Sutherland.

Middle school students Evan and Grace were recognized by the staff for showing pride in their school and in themselves. Elleigh, Emily and Rosie were recognized for their academic performance and focus in the first month of school. Janie was recognized for outstanding citizenship. Janie kept a cool head and helped a student with a medical issue. Staff was impressed with, and appreciative of, Janie’s mature and extremely helpful response.

All of these students and many others at IMHS have started the school year with great expectations, focus and pride. School staff is very proud of them and recognize the hard work they put in each day, the respect they regularly show toward others and their willingness to go above and beyond to make a difference for others.
