Letter: Dr. Roof provides good example of how businesses succeed

As business after business fails, it’s always a pleasure to be reminded why some companies weather bad times, competition, and cheap labor from far-off markets (say, Portland or Vancouver). It’s the customer service in my opinion that will keep them around. I cannot be more impressed and thankful for the customer service we received recently from Dr. Roof, particularly Glen Trusty and Larry.

The following morning after one of the last big storms of ’09 we discovered severe roof damage to our home and garage. As a resident of the peninsula for 10 years now (still a newbie by local standards) I was concerned about who to call for roof repair as the “storm chasers” were already prowling the neighborhoods. My neighbors suggested Dr. Roof, I’m glad they did. The crew arrived to tarp the roof shortly after we placed the call. Then later, Larry met with us to discuss how they might help get our roof repaired. These guys went beyond our expectations as exemplary mediators with the insurance company. Their knowledge and experience in caring for homes in this coastal climate was conveyed expertly to my Colorado based insurance company; something I could not have done alone.

We received the most courteous assistance, the most knowledgeable guidance on roofing products and expedient and professional removal and installation on a new roof. We shouldn’t take for granted those who work in a service field that they “just know” they are appreciated, so, thank you to the good people at Dr. Roof. Thank you for being there on a stormy morning.
