SEATTLE – Ronald G. Jenson, 72, of Ocean Park, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2009, in Seattle. He was born May 30, 1937, in Watertown, S.D., to Earl and Irma Jean (Mattson) Jenson.

He served in the U.S. Army for nine years in his youth. After leaving the Army he joined Montgomery Wards in retail sales/management, where he worked for 18 years. After taking early retirement from Wards, he purchased and operated his own insurance agency in St. Petersburg, Fla., for many years. Upon selling his business he moved to the west coast to be near his brothers and settled in Ocean Park where he met and married his soul mate Joanne (Cyphers) Jenson in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Jenson; his two daughters, Cindy D’Aurora of Panama City, Fla., and Ronnet Rice of Columbus, Ga.; his stepson, Christopher Campbell of Eugene, Ore.; his two brothers, Gary Jenson of Battleground, and Alan Jenson of Rapid City, S.D.; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle soul, his generosity, his integrity, his creativity and artistic ability, his beautiful smile and his special love, Gracie.
