Obituaries: Kenneth D. Linn

TASMANIA – Kenneth D. Linn passed away on Aug. 20, 2007, in Ulverstone, Tasmania with his family by his side. On Oct. 23, 1920, he was born in Cle Elum to Harry and Rosa Linn. He graduated from Cle Elum High School and proudly serviced in the Navy during World War II.
He and his first wife Elaine moved to Ocean Park after he retired. They spent their summers in Ocean Park and many winters in Hawaii before she died. His passion was flying his kites. At 70 years old, he won an international kite-flying contest for his age group. He met many people from around the world with his interest in kites. While on a kite-flying trip to Tasmania he met his current wife, Greta and they were married in 1998. They lived for a time in Ocean Park before moving to Tasmania.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeri (Dan) Jones of Silverdale; his brother, Irish Linn of Shelton; his sister, Inna Wright of Aberdeen; his wife, Greta and her children, of Tasmania and his nephews Dale and Dave Alonzo and their families. His parents, his first wife Elaine, brother Gordon, nephew Ken and a niece Sharon preceded him in death. His family and the many friends he made over the years will miss him.
