NOTE THE CHANGE IN HEARING DATE. The hearing date has been moved from September 14, 2007 to September 28, 2007 and the public comment period is extended through September 21, 2007.

Description of Proposal: The applicants are proposing to place approximately 840 cubic yards of fill material within approximately 8,200 square feet of Category III wetlands and its required buffer areas. The fill will be placed 1′ -3′ in depth within an area 7,500 square feet in size (50′ in width and 150′ in length) in order to prepare the project site for the future construction of a single-family residence. In addition, approximately 700 square feet of off-site wetland buffer area will be impacted in order to install a driveway access within a road easement measuring 14′ in width and 50′ in length. In order to mitigate for the 8,200 square foot of Category III wetland and wetland buffer impacts, the applicants are proposing to excavate approximately 1,300 cubic yards of material in order to create 12,300 square feet of new on-site wetlands. The newly created wetlands will be located west of the proposed building site and west of the Pacific County Building Setback Line. The remaining 460 cubic yards of fill material will be removed from the project site and relocated to an approved upland location.

Location of Proposal: The project area is located at the west end of Tax Lot 87, approximately 50′ south of the western terminus of43rd Place. The legal description of the site is Tax Lot 87, located within Section 20, Township 10 North, Range 11 West, W.M., Pacific County, Washington.

According to the guidelines contained within Pacific County Procedural Ordinance No. 145 and Section 24.7, of the Pacific County Shoreline Master Program, an administrative hearing will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Pacific County PUD Conference Room located at 9610 Sandridge Road, Long Beach, Washington.

This Preliminary Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance is issued under WAC 197-11-340 (2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by September 21, 2007.
