Each Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon enjoy fellowship and fun at the Naselle Congregational Church. Each Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a senior lunch and social is held at the Naselle Congregational Church at 14 Parpala Road in Naselle. Lunch is at noon, with Scrabble, dominos, puzzles and more available. Call 484-3275.

DVD/VHS VIDEO LENDING LIBRARY

The Peninsula Senior Activity Center now has videos! Thanks to donations from the community and Hunt’s Home Furnishings, we now have over 200 DVDs and VHS videos available to borrow. There is no charge and you may borrow up to two at a time. Come and check out our selection between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. We also accept your used, good condition videos; they must be originals, no homemade copies please. If you have questions, contact Carol at 665-3999.

Community Pancake Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center on Pacific Highway at Klipsan, on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Enjoy pancakes with scrambled eggs and ham or biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs, plus a beverage. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Rod Runners are encouraged to attend!

Community Dinner

The Senior Center is holding a fundraising dinner open to the community on Sept. 13 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The dinner will include baked chicken with all the trimmings. The cost is just $7 for adults and $4 for children. The public is encouraged to come support the Senior Center.

Ice Cream Social

The Peninsula Senior Activity Center will celebrate their monthly birthdays on Monday, Sept. 17, beginning at 2 p.m. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to come to the socials. Children are welcome. If it is your birthday month, there is no charge for your cake and ice cream; otherwise it is just $1. Plus there is sugar-free ice cream and angel food cake available.

Tai Chi is offered from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Mondays.

TuesdaysCribbage

Join the cribbage bunch that plays each Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Hearing Tests

Hearing tests will be available on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center.

Fundraisers Group

Bring your fundraising ideas to meetings on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WednesdaysPinochle

Play pinochle at the Senior Center Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Yoga

Yoga is offered from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Exercise class

Every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., there will be an exercise class offered. The class is done to a Richard Simmons exercise tape that is very easy to learn and fun to do. The cost is only $1, which goes to the center. Come and have some fun. For information call Wilma at 665-5781.

Senior Bowling At Hilltop

Every Wednesday seniors 50 years old and up are invited to come to an open bowl session at 2 p.m. at Hilltop Bowl in Ilwaco. The cost is just $5 per person for three games. There will be complimentary coffee and tea offered as well. Call 642-4440 for more information.

Pinochle

If you enjoy playing pinochle, come to the Senior Center Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Senior crafters meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the activity center.

Blood pressure checks

Get your blood pressure checked on Fridays for free from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
