Long Beach Police DepartmentOn Aug. 27 at 4:55 p.m. on North Washington, a domestic violence incident was reported. A 16-year-old female from Long Beach was booked for domestic violence fourth-degree assault after she had assaulted her mother.
Officers were dispatched to a parking lot in Long Beach at 9:21 p.m. for a man brandishing a knife. After the officers spoke with all parties involved the case was sent to the city prosecutor for review because of conflicting statements.
On Aug. 28 at 5:20 a.m., on Howerton Way, a vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in Wahkiakum County.
At 1:40 p.m., a fight-in-progress was reported in Ilwaco. One of those involved in the incident had an outstanding $10,000 extraditable state warrant out of Seattle. Adam G. Wicker, age 44, was arrested and booked for the warrant.
On Aug. 29 at 10:20 a.m., someone reported that a construction trailer at Hilltop had been broken into. The officer was unable to make contact with the owner, so he purchased a lock to secure it.
At 8:40 p.m., a large rock had been moved into the middle of a driveway on North Washington.
At 11:27 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on 28th Street North for a traffic violation. Kevin W. Sundstrom, age 40, from Vancouver was arrested and booked for third-degree driving while license suspended, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana possession less than/equal to 40 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Aug. 31 at 5 p.m., on 7th Street South, Leonard A. Ballard, age 40, from White Salmon, was booked for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and no valid operator’s license first-degree.
At 7 p.m., a downtown Long Beach business reported the theft of a 12 pack of Coors Light and some sunflower seeds. The suspects were located sitting at a picnic table behind city hall. Craig D. Ebaugh, 44, from Vancouver, was cited for third-degree theft.
On Sept. 1 at 12:59 a.m., Lewis D. Landgren, age 44, from Seaview was arrested and booked into Pacific County Jail for a misdemeanor warrant out of South District Court. Landgren had come to LBPD to report his vehicle was stuck in the sand and that a friend had caused the problem. His vehicle was towed.
At 9 a.m., a burglary to a church was reported.
On Sept. 2 at 4:20 p.m. on Bolstad Avenue, an officer observed the driver of a Ford truck do a burnout and take off at a high rate of speed. A second vehicle was running with this truck. The Ford truck was stopped and Robert E. Leach, age 30, was taken into custody for outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. The driver of the second vehicle was given a warning at the scene.
An illegal fire was reported at Lake and Adeila Streets in Ilwaco. The man who had set the fire was intoxicated and belligerent and upset about someone calling the police because of the incident. After a discussion, the fire was put out. The officers gave the homeowners the fire regulations so they would be in compliance in the future.
Pacific County Sheriff’s DepartmentAt 10:21 a.m. on Aug. 25, Pacific County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a person violating a court order in the 1900 block of Bay Avenue in Ocean Park. Deputies investigated the complaint, located and arrested David Ryerson, 41, of Ocean Park for violation of a temporary protection order. Ryerson was booked in Pacific County Jail for the violation.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers that school is back in session so please drive carefully and be aware of pedestrians in and around roadways.
PACNET serves search warrant in AberdeenOn Aug. 21, PACNET assisted by Grays Harbor Drug Task Force and Aberdeen Police Department served a search warrant relating to the sales of narcotics by residents of Aberdeen. Judge Michael Sullivan found there was probable cause for a search warrant and issued the warrant.
The search warrant was served at a residence in the 1300 block of Harding Road in Aberdeen. The warrant resulted in the seizure of evidence pertaining to the investigation.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested for delivery of a control substance (methamphetamine). An additional arrest is pending. During the service of the search warrant officers located scales, packaging material, cash and a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Agencies involved in the service of this warrant included PACNET, the Aberdeen Police Department and the Gray Harbor County Drug Task Force.
Grays Harbor County Sheriff Mike Whelan and Pacific County Sheriff John Didion both praised the operation as another illustration of the teamwork between our local Drug Task Forces. According to Sheriff Didion the funding provided locally and by the state legislature supporting our Regional Drug Task Force has greatly enhanced public safety in our Counties.
