Small Engine Care & Repair (Room 311)

Instructor: Jim Moten

Wednesdays 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.

This course will cover general maintenance and troubleshooting problems with small engines. Students will learn how to properly care for and make common repairs to small engines. The class will be geared toward safety when working on and with small engines, basic parts and principles of small gas engines, and the differences between two-cycle and four-cycle engines. NOTE: This class begins Sept. 19.

Conversational Spanish (Room 308)

Instructor: E. Schott

Tuesdays 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Designed to give students an immediate speaking ability in Spanish. This practical class builds a working Spanish vocabulary and includes an introduction to Spanish speaking people and their culture, a good preparation for travelers. NOTE: This class begins Sept. 18.

Ceramics (Room 302)

Instructor: Bruce Williams

Wednesdays 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is a course in hand building with clay, starting with the soft clay, doing bisque firing and then a glazed firing. Instruction and assistance with the basic techniques of pinch coil and slab pot creation will be offered. Students will be free to sculpt or use other techniques, with the only limit being you own creativity! The course is opened to all experience levels. NOTE: This class begins Sept. 19.
