Naselle all-school science fair has many entries

- <I>MARILYN STRANGE photo</I><BR>Naselle students from kindergarten through high school took part last week in the all-school science fair. The entries were organized into groups of experiments and demonstrations.
NASELLE – The all-school Science Fair of the Naselle-Grays River Valley School was held last Tuesday and Wednesday with the exhibits set up in the school’s Lyle Patterson Gymnasium.
Participants included students from kindergarten through seniors in high school. Many of the exhibits, which were organized around either experiments or demonstrations, included teams of student participants. The fair, organized by Bruce Williams and Lori Dearmore, attracted not only much student participation, but also involvement of teachers from every grade level and a large audience of community members, in spite of minimal publicity. Faculty members as well as community members served as judges for the many exhibits.
The Judges Choice awards for each grade level went to: K – Hailey Penttila; 1st – Steve Blain, 2nd – Jordan Kochheiser; 3rd – Emma Fauver; 4th – Emily Gjovik; 5th – Katie Green; 6th – Chandler Chapman and Ray Shotwell; 7th – Alana Darcher; 8th – Haleigh See, Nichole Tarabochia, Megan Agee, and Giana Fabiano; 9th – Karli Nelson, Lindsay O’Kelley, and Nicolle Best; Biology – Becky Rostad, Crystal Neprud, and Nicolle Best; Chemistry – Kellyn Pakenen and Sandra Rodriguez.
The Honor Awards went to: K – Cameron Gaines; 1st – Nicholas Gaines, Cameron Bergeson, Shannon Christie; 2nd – Isabel Zimmerman, Kyle Strange, Kyryn Jacot; 3rd – Sean Roberts; 4th – Madison Green, Jared Davis, Devin Roberts; 5th – Karianne Condon and Marisa Woods, Maddie LaRoy, Jennifer Frank; 6th – Dani Larson, Ciara Sandell, Tom Shotwell, Jordan Smith, London Woodruff, Lexi York; 7th – Cramer Smith, Tavish Hammonds; 8th – Taylor Wasmundt, Kaelee Dearmore, Bailey Clark , Aidi Kondro, Logan Sandell, JT Mueller; 9th – Alan Erickson, Calen Thompson, Drew Macy, Emily Green, Nicole Laney, Gary Johansen, Orianne Condon; Biology – Risa Fletcher, Emma Fauver, Gabe See, Stephan Griss, Tony Fletcher; Chemistry – Narci Carlson, Haley Landis, Jeremy Ray, Cheryl Steppe.
