ILWACO – The second annual “Oysters & Art” will be held Nov. 18 at Ilwaco’s Inn at Harbour Village (formerly the BellTower Inn at Ilwaco). Produced by the Peninsula Rotary Club, this gala evening will feature silent and live auctions showcasing the work of local artists. Guests will also enjoy live music, champagne, fresh local oysters and an array of hors d’oeuvres.

More than 1.3 million Rotary members worldwide are committed to service projects to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Peninsula Rotary club, one of more than 31,000 clubs in 165 countries, will donate the proceeds of this festive evening to the children’s dentistry program operated by the Family Health Center’s North Beach Clinic, the effort to create a Boys and Girls Club on the Long Beach Peninsula and the Peninsula Arts Association Youth Grants Program.

Revenues from the $25 admission tickets and the art auction will help the dental clinic deliver needed care to underpriveledged children in our community, the Arts Association develop the talent of our local youth and a Boys and Girls Club to become a reality for Peninsula youth.

Artists interested in participating in the auction or community members wishing to volunteer or donate can contact Emily Brown 665-5397 Emily@beachrotary.com or Lynn Raymer Lynn@beachrotary.com. Tickets can be purchased from any Peninsula Rotary member (a roster with contact information is available at (www.beachrotary.com).
