LONG BEACH – Boreas Bed and Breakfast has been voted as a winner in Arrington’s 2006 Book of Lists in the “Best Breakfast in the Northwest” category, making it one of the top 3-percent of bed and breakfasts and country inns throughout the United States and Canada. Boreas received this honor for 2005 as well.
Boreas’ innkeepers, Susie Goldsmith and Bill Verner, figure they spend approximately five hours per day in preparation and serving of their three-course morning brunches to their B&B guests. These are known to feature wild native mushrooms and berries collected by Veronica Williams of All Wild and local fresh seafood. An elaborate fresh fruit entree and two homemade pastries precede the main “entree of the moment,” which could be a wild mushroom and smoked sturgeon frittata with Cajun-spiced home fries, or perhaps a triple ginger pumpkin pancake with smoked sausages. To see what a 360-degree tour of the inn, see Boreas’ Web site: (www.boreasinn.com). Or call 642-8069 or (888) 642-8069.
The Charles Nelson Guest House, owned by Ginger and Curt Bish and located on Sandridge Road in Ocean Park, also received accolades in Arrington’s Inn Traveler’s 2006 Book of Lists in the “Best Breakfast in the Northwest” category.
