CHINOOK -If you attended the release of the Ocean In View nickel as part of the Westward Journey series of nickels, you may not know that you can get your roll(s) date cancelled at the Chinook post office.

Chinook Postmaster Jon Anderson said the cancellation stamp that reads, “Chinook Station, Aug. 1, 2005, 98614. Westward Journey Nickel Series” will only be available through Aug. 31, after which time it will be destroyed.

You can stop by the Chinook post office during normal business hours and get that date stamp cancellation on a roll of nickels or an envelope as you choose.
