Letter: Interested in local theatre? Call her
Published 4:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2004
On impulse, and because I love live theatre, I’ve inquired about whether others share this interest. I was overwhelmed at the response, proving to me that there is a need for live theatre – skits, plays, vaudeville, and such – here on the Peninsula.
Now that I realize for sure that there is a need, I am somewhat confused as to how to proceed with it.
We would need a room to rehearse, discuss, and, of most importance, some places to perform. Being very low budget, all we can contribute is our time, efforts, costumes, small props, and the joy of loving the theatre.
All of our efforts will be returned to the community. Your applause will be our reward.
So, again, I am asking, is there anyone out there willing to help us get off the ground?
The people who called were very enthused, as am I. Please respond by calling 665-5781.
