KLIPSAN BEACH – A family holiday concert is scheduled at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center, 21603 Pacific Highway in Klipsan Beach.

Sponsored with broad support from the entire length of the Peninsula and Chinook, Tickle Tune Typhoon brings people of all ages together to sing, dance and celebrate the holiday season. The program is filled with original, traditional and ethnic styles of music and dance celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and the winter season.

Lorraine Bayes and Dennis Westphall are the founding directors, songwriters and performers of the highly acclaimed children’s group, Tickle Tune Typhoon. They have been creating and performing music for children and their families since 1980. Together, with a talented and dedicated cast of musicians and dancers, they have sustained a standard of value and excellence in the performing arts for children and the family.

Their music blends joyful participation and humor with important messages that focus on children, positive social values, education, community building and a genuine philosophy of respecting and caring for the earth and all humanity.

Joining the Tickle Tune Typhoon cast will be the beautiful waltzing snowflakes, festive dancing Christmas trees and a playful marvelous toy. Santa will make a special appearance and will invite the audience to “rock out,” doing the famous “Santa’s Belly Boogie.”

This is a free event; however, canned food donations for the food bank will be welcomed. For more information on this event, call 665-4133.
