ILWACO – Nancey Olson, left, interim director of the Ilwaco Heritage Museum; Carolyn Glenn, co-chair of the Pacific County Friends of Lewis and Clark; retired state Sen. Sid Snyder; and Gary Johnson, chairman of the Chinook Indian Tribe, opened the museum’s new exhibit, “Don’t Bother Me with the Facts: Uses and Abuses of the Lewis and Clark Theme in Popular Culture,” Saturday. The unique exhibit will be at the museum through 2006 and examines “the other side of the story” of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, including art, events, maps, advertising and souvenirs over years past. “This is a first-class exhibit,” Glenn said. “It’s the top of any I’ve seen in my trips around the country.”
