Robert R. Andrea

ASTORIA – Robert R. Andrea, 78, of Naselle died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Astoria. Mr. Andrea was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Tacoma to Rudolph G. and Irene (Barwell) Andrea. He graduated from high school in Puyallup and worked on ferries in Tacoma for two years.
Mr. Andrea then joined the U.S. Army, served two tours in Korea and was stationed twice in Germany. He retired as a master sergeant after his second assignment in Germany.
He managed the Andre Court Motel in Clallam Bay. He moved to Astoria in 1990 and then spent his last year in Naselle.
Mr. Andrea is survived by a son, Robin Andrea of Naselle; a daughter, Rebecca Menson of Puyallup; grandson, Robin Andrea II of Naselle; brother, Bill Andrea of Gig Harbor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
A private burial will be held at Fort Stevens Cemetery in Hammond, Ore. Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
