Women’s Club officers

- Newly elected officers for the Women of the Moose for 2004-05 include: l-to-r: Mary Markley, recorder; Helen Willard, chaplain; Kim Salem, junior regent; Jerre McDaneld, Jr. graduate regent; Sheila Ward, senior regent.
SPOKANE – The 108th Annual Convention of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs was held in Spokane April 22 to April 25. Cheryl Holman of Long Beach (right) was installed as GFWC-Washington State 1st Vice President. Pinkie Eggleston of Ocean Park (left) was installed as GFWC-Washington State Treasurer.
Those in attendance were from around the state and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs International 1st Vice President Jackie Pierce from Illinois was the keynote speaker at the dinner meeting on Friday night. Another speaker was Linda Lawrence Hunt who is the author of “Bold Spirit: Helga Estby’s Forgotten Walk Across Victorian America.”
