Eugene ‘Ed’ Lang

LACEY – Eugene “Ed” Lang, who lived in the Vancouver area for more than 60 years, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, in Lacey. He was 80 years old.

Known by family and friends as Ed, he was born in Zap, N.D. He grew up in Battle Ground, worked in the shipyards as an electrician during World War II, continued his career as an electrical contractor in Vancouver and recently celebrated 60 years of IBEW membership. He designed and built his own vacation home at Klipsan Beach.

An avid Mariners baseball fan, he also enjoyed fishing, clam digging, gardening, cribbage, and shooting pool.

The last of eight siblings, Mr. Lang is survived by his wife Louise, three daughters, nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no service, but he will be interred at Lincoln Memorial in Portland.
