Naselle girls crush Lake Quinault in double header

NASELLE – The Naselle girls softball team easily won both games of a double header with Lake Quinault Friday, April 30, winning 20-5 and 20-10.

Detailed game information was received from Naselle coach Chris Clark too late to be included in this edition of the Observer.

Naselle girls trounced by TaholaTAHOLA – The Tahola Chitwins jumped all over the Naselle Comets in a Pacific League girls softball game played Thursday, April 21 on the Chitwins home field. Naselle’s long trip to the Olympic Peninsula coastal town became even longer when the Comets lost 17-1.

Naselle got on the scoreboard first when Toni Abbott opened the game with a single and eventually came around to score. But, that was it as far as the Comets scoring went.

When the Chitwins came to bat, they circled the bases 13 times in the first inning as they got on base and scored in every way possible. Five walks and a hit batter by Naselle plus 3 errors and 3 Tahola hits produced the huge inning. Tahola added 2 more runs in each of the next two innings and the game was stopped by the 10-run rule after three innings.
