CATHLAMET – Cathlamet defeated the Ilwaco junior varsity baseball 13-5 Monday, despite the young Fishermen’s biggest offensive outburst of the season.

Six different Ilwaco batsmen slammed out hits and Cody Chalker struck out 7 Mules in four innings of mound work.

Five walks and singles by Bobby Crislip and Chalker highlighted a 4-run third inning for Ilwaco.

Singles by Jarod Schaak and Mike Huitt sandwiched around another walk accounted for the Fishermen’s final run in the fourth.

Paul Blaylock and Casey Heagy also had singles in the contest.
