KLIPSAN BEACH – The Peninsula Senior Activity Center celebrated their monthly ice cream social, on April 21. Our thanks to Debi’s Restaurant in Long Beach who provided the cakes and to Golden Sands Assisted Living Facility at Klipsan who provided the ice cream.

Ed Culbertson, age 79, was crowned our King and Madelon Preston, age 91, was crowned our Queen. Barbara Bate entertained us on the piano.

Our ice cream socials are held every third Monday of the month. It is a great way to spend an afternoon socializing, meeting new friends and visiting with old ones.

Our next ice cream social will be May 19 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. or as long as you would like to visit. Please come join us. You do not have to be a member of the senior activity center to come to our socials. Children are welcome. If it is your birthday month, you are the senior centers guest, otherwise it is $1.

The senior center appreciates the businesses and private citizens who donate cakes and ice cream for our socials. Please call the senior center at 665-3999.
