Jan Douglas Martenson

SPOKANE – Jan Douglas Martenson of Spokane, died Feb. 2, 2003 of heart-related causes.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1943 in Ocean Park to Andrew and Margaret (Mathews) Martenson.
Mr. Martenson served in the Navy, West Pac Division from 1961 to 1964. He attended Pullman College in the 1970s, specializing in mechanical drawing and mathematics. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.
Survivors include: his companion Julie Jamsion and daughter of Spokane; two sisters: Patricia Haavisto of Redmond, Ore., and Georgia Brewer of Chinook; four brothers: Charles of Spokane, Ronald of Arizona, David and Dale Andrews of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of cremation. Inurnment will be at a later date.
