Alan Harrison is new manager at Chautauqua Lodge

LONG BEACH – Chautauqua Lodge’s Board of Directors has named Alan Harrison as the new general manager for Chautauqua Lodge.
Harrison is a native of Bakersfield, having graduated from East Bakersfield and Bakersfield College, he attended the University of Oregon on a swimming scholarship. He has over 30 years of international hotel and restaurant management experience with emphasis in the area of the management of upscale hospitality operations. For more than 15 years he was employed with Westin International Hotels Company.
Harrison’s work experience includes the Olympic Hotel, Space Needle, Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Calif., Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., among others. With Westin’s corporate assignment, he was responsible for the operational reviews and pre-opening of over 55 hotels worldwide. He has taught hospitality courses at colleges in Seattle and Charleston, S.C.
