SEAVIEW – Robert A. Potter, 22, known to family and friends as “Potter,” died Aug. 22, 2002 in Seaview.
The son of Steve and Debbie (Burton) Potter, he was born Sept. 6, 1979 in Seattle. At an early age he moved with his family to Everett, where he attended grade school, played Little League baseball, soccer and was active in Scouting.
When he was in the eighth grade he moved to the Long Beach Peninsula. He attended Ilwaco Middle School and graduated from Ilwaco High School where he lettered in varsity football, baseball and wrestling. He enjoyed industrial arts classes and showed exceptional talent in metalcrafting and woodworking for which he received special recognition. He had worked at the Long Beach McDonald’s and for Erik Fagerland Contractors. He was a man of many interests and had many friends. He dearly loved his son.
He and Teeda Jovner were married April 3, 2002 and she survives living in Long Beach. Also surviving are his son Mavryck; father Steve Potter of Everett; mother Debbie Estep of Nahcotta; sisters Karen Potter of Seaview, Janice Burns and Susan Potter both of Everett.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, 1 p.m. at Penttila’s Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach. Private family committal will be at Washington Memorial Park in Sea-Tac. The casket will be open Wednesday, 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Thursday morning, 9 a.m. until noon at Penttila’s Chapel.
