Comets and Wildcats fall sports season practices to begin Aug. 26

NASELLE – The three team sports practices for Naselle High School and Naselle Middle School athletes – cross country, football, and volleyball – will begin shortly.
All prospective high school and middle school athletes are reminded to have their physicals completed, all paper work completed, and permission forms signed before the turnouts begin on Monday, Aug. 26 for the three high school teams and some of the middle school teams.
The middle school sports turnouts for cross country and football will begin on Aug. 26. Middle school volleyball will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Cross country coach Ryan Bjornsgard has scheduled high school and middle school cross country practice to begin Monday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m.
Head football coach Matt Scrabeck has scheduled a parents’ meeting with parents of all high school and middle school football players on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. in the NHS commons. High school football practice will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. Middle school football practice will also begin at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to coach Lonnie Eaton.
Coach Doug Rogers reported that the first high school volleyball practice will be held in the school gym from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 26. The middle school volleyball team, under the direction of coach Debbie Denny will begin practice following the high school turnout at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
